Apprehensive at first, Novoselic eventually agreed and Nirvana was formed. The band went through a rotation of drummers throughout their time, with Dave Grohl (1990-94) being their most tenured.
Nirvana released their first album Bleach in 1989, and it was a smash hit. They garnered astronomical acclaim with their second album, Nevermind.
