LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
Little Rock police are releasing new details in the fatal shooting of a teenager late Monday night.
Police were called to Pleasant Pointe apartments on Green Mountain Drive at 10:05 p.m. where they found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds and lying on the floor.
The father tells KATV his son, 14-year-old Cyncere Alexander, was found by the victim’s brother, who told his dad he thought Cyncere was beaten.
When his father arrived, he noticed Cyncere had been shot instead of beaten.
Police say the suspect, described as a black male between the ages of 15- and 20-years-old, was seen leaving right after the shooting.
The motive for the shooting is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
