LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
Police say a juvenile is wanted in connection with a shooting incident on June 22.
An active warrant is out for the arrest of Matthew Hood, 17, of Little Rock.
Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2300 block of S. Harrison for reports of a shooting.
A witness told police she observed a vehicle traveling northbound on S. Harrison shooting a firearm. The witness said she heard around nine gunshots.
Little Rock Police was advised the the suspect was traveling in a gold Sedan with a black bumper. Soon after officers spotted a vehicle matching that description.
Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Monroe Street at which point two juveniles fled on foot.
According to police, both juveniles were located and taken in for questioning. After further investigation, it was determined the juveniles were fleeing from a black vehicle that was shooting at them on S. Harrison Street.
LRPD reported finding a shell casing and two projectiles at the residence on S. Harrison.
One juvenile was charged with fleeing and possession of misdemeanor drugs, the second was charged with fleeing.
Detectives say Hood’s warrant is for possession of a firearm by a minor.
Hood is a minor but is being charged as an adult on the warrant, according to police.
Hood is described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches.
